I was very happy to see the Fitz episode. Came at a very good time, because as interesting as the concept of Earth being destroyed and humans as Kree slaves is, watching it play out was getting a little tiresome for me. Seeing Hunter and Fitz together again was a breath of fresh air.

Thankfully they've just put the last season of Agents of Shield up on Sky Boxsets so I'm managing to catch up before the new season starts over here.

Jessica Jones S2 comes out today on Netflix!

In related news, Kristen Ritter says there probably won't be another season of The Defenders.

Hopefully that means more crossover eps... with everyone except Iron Fist. :(

So, um, Luke Cage? Anyone? Beuller?

I'm on the 4th episode, and its a real slog. I'm told it gets better, but I may not make it to 'later'.

I watched the first episode Saturday and will probably watch more. Alfre Woodard's performance is so profoundly strange, though. I honestly don't know what to make of it.

She gets better, they threw in an angle I wasn't expecting for the season.
I finished the entire thing over the weekend and I liked season one better, but this was still an overall good experience.

I checked out halfway through Jessica Jones season 2 and I think it's going to be tough to get me to check back in. I loved the first season of JJ, enjoyed the first season of Luke Cage, didn't like the first season of Iron Fist, and was just baffled by The Defenders. If that was an hour and a half movie I think it would have been good. But they started to lose me with the second half of Luke Cage and it's mostly been downhill from there.

Edit: I liked The Punisher, but ultimately thought the season was pretty forgettable. The character was handled much better in Daredevil, to be honest.

I think my biggest problem right now with pretty much all the Netflix Marvel stuff is that they all deal with some pretty heavy shit. The degree to which they succeed varies wildly, but this certainly isn't fun, escapist stuff like most of the MCU is (what happened in Infinity War aside). And I really would prefer some fun, escapist stuff right now.

Someone needs to adapt Great Lakes Avengers for Netflix.

Has anyone watched the Runaways series on Hulu? I know it's connected to the MCU (as much as the Netflix stuff), but I haven't heard much about the quality.

Also, I think Cloak and Dagger might be out too. Honestly, I haven't been watching any current shows in a while.

Good to know!

I have heard literally NO buzz about either one of them.

Luke Cage is profoundly meh, right up until episode 10, which is great!

Marvel has announced that Iron Fist will not get a season 3. Which is a bummer, because season 2 clearly ended with a sequel hook.

Season 2 was a big improvement over S1, but I still didn't really think it needed to continue. I think the potential for S3 was probably a lot cooler than what we would have actually got.
Spoiler!
Danny and Ward tooling around Asia while Colleen and Misty team up back home sounds amazing, but they seem to want everyone in New York in these Netflix shows.
I am hoping they take a hard look at Luke Cage and Iron Fist as shows and finally merge them into Heroes for Hire or Daughters of the Dragon or whatever. I don't know what Netflix's licensing deal with Marvel is, especially now that everything might be shifting over to Disney's streaming service, though.
