Yeah, I just saw it last night. It was odd that Cliffjumper already had his name, but Bumblebee didn't. I think they were thinking too hard about why he would be named for a creature that couldn't exist on Cybertron.

The beginning of the movie, before they leave Cybertron, was easily my favorite part. The middle, which focuses more on Charlie, tended to drag. And of course, another Transformers movie that focuses too much on the humans and their problems. :pissed:

But it was still easily better than all the previous Transformers movies. Not having Michael Bay's immature "humor" forced into it definitely helped.

First Man is a great film, maybe a tad bit too long, but great regardless.

The one thing they missed on, from my POV as someone who had spent a little time with the real Neil Armstrong, was Neil's sense of humor, which was subtle and wry, and not exactly easy to show on screen.

I really enjoued Glass. Its a worthy conclusion to the trilogy. Its not perfect, but enjoyable nonetheles. My only real complaint is that there just isnt enough Mr. Glass in it.

I just saw Captain Marvel today. I thought it was an interesting take on the traditional origin story.

There were some parts that followed the origin formula, and honestly, I'm not wild about the whole amnesia trope, but even with that, I still thought it was good fun. I'd put it somewhere in the top 10 of my all-time MCU ranking, but not in the top 5.

I had to go through my MCU movies and pick my top 10.

1. Avengers: Age of Ultron
2. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
3. Captain America: The First Avenger
4. Thor: Ragnarok
5. Avengers: Infinity War
6. Guardians of the Galaxy
7. Iron Man
8. Black Panther
9. Spider-Man: Homecoming
10. Ant-Man and the Wasp

I'd probably have to watch Captain Marvel at least once more to determine if it would make my top 10.

So, um SHAZAM!

I just dont know. I enjoyed it. It was fun. It didn't take itself too seriously. It had some funny bits, but ...

I dont know. Something missing. Maybe its the name, which I still resist.

Yeah, it was definitely fun, and it really nailed the comic book theme of drawing strength from a found family. In fact, I think I enjoyed the Billy Batson parts much more than the Shazam! parts.

That said, one of my fears after the watching the trailers came true, I didn't care for goofball Cap very much. He's supposed to have the Wisdom of Solomon for the Gods' sake. I also would have liked to have the Sins be more different -- they come across more as just generic monsters than the embodiments of mankind's dark nature.

Avengers Endgame was fabulous. Not perfect in terms of its time travel, but then, what is?
Eminently satisfying in every other way.

I 100% agree. It had it's flaws, but I loved the movie so much I just didn't care.

I felt like all the major characters were pretty well-served by the story, not an easy feat with that many characters.

Looking forward to Phase... what, four now? In any case, looking forward to them putting Thanos behind them, I hope the next uber-villain is more dynamic.
