Mystery Robot Theatre will typically run on Mondays and Fridays, but the first one is going up a little early:

The Reboot Begins

All the comics will automatically go up at 10am Central on the MRT Tumblr page here: https://mysteryrobottheatre.tumblr.com/
But, I'll also post links here.

Enjoy!

Not this season, but that is an intriguing possibility.

As The Room faces off against Plan 9, the bots face off against The Room in Episode 2.

Also, why Shockwave, you ask?

One of the original Mystery Bots goes on an epic Brodyquest!

(And Tumblr fucks it all up.) :shady:

And just in case you've never heard of Brodyquest...

Three things:

1. It's amazing how much that Iron Fist pastiche just sounds like normal Hot Rod.
2. I had, amazingly, forgotten about Brodyquest, but the moment I saw the first picture it all came flooding back, no replay needed.
3. Classics Cosmos actually bears a surprisingly strong resemblance to Nav-L, doesn't he? At least around the shoulders.
Sometimes I believe as many as six impossible things before breakfast. Often my breakfast itself encompasses four of them.

James Roberts watch out! I'm gonna be writing a Hot Rod series after the big IDW reboot!

I didn't realize when I was making that Brodyquest one that Tumblr seeks to annihilate very tall images. I mean, it really hates them

Anyway, this Monday's comic goes back to a simpler time when a man was a man, a woman was a witch, and your neighbors obsessed over your activities to an unhealthy extent. It's Beiwtched!

After all these years, I actually discovered the identity of one of my mystery robots! After falling down a rabbit hole on TFWiki and coming to an article about Brazilian exclusive Transformer toys (as one often does), I saw a picture of a toy that looked similat to the stubby black car with the silver face and arms. It was one of a set of three remote controlled cars from a set called Eletrix. Presumably I don't have a rare Brazilian toy, but the artsays that they were sold in the US by a company called Village Toys as Pow-R-Bots in their toyline Convert-A-Bots. Though chances are more likely the one I actually own was this knockoff from Trans-Robots; the stickers look very familiar. From what little I can dig up, the individual toys didn't have names in the US, but in Brazil the one I had was called Porsche. As a kid, I must have worn out the remote control and snipped the cable off of the toy; I vaguely remember it having one.
