Gelf's probably a bigger fan of Tictacs Ogre anyway.
Sometimes I believe as many as six impossible things before breakfast. Often my breakfast itself encompasses four of them.

A very accurate depiction of what happened to Toys R Us. https://twitter.com/i/status/1018053731705761792

Here's something cool. Last week I cancelled my DirecTV and signed up for VerizonFiosTV.

Todays it rained and poured all day, and we didn't lose TV reception ONCE!

Yeah, that wouldn't have been the case with DirecTV.

So, here's the story about DirecTV. I've had DirecTV for about 15 years, give or take, It was installed by a contractor for them and has worked more or less OK, except for weather, since then. Last month it stopped working so we called for a repair. First they had to sell us some sort of 'service plan' to even come out and repair the thing, then the guy who came out couldn't fix it because he said our roof is too high (3 stories instead of 2 stories ... apparently the safety rules have changed and they're not allowed to climb that high, and they dont have a cherry picker and yada yada yada ), so instead he offered to install a completely new dish, but lower on the roof, in a place where it would get even worse coverage of the sky. Then he told us that despite his employee discount, he uses FIOS as well.

So, long story short (too late!) I cancelled DirecTV and signed up for FIOS, and also got a nice speed boost on my internet and wound up saving about $100 a month.

So, sorry HP. Nothing personal, buuuuuuuut ...

That is hilarious and would be pretty much all I would need to hear to switch too.

It kinda depends on where you live and whether there's a lot of trees. On a third floor roof or on a pole in the ground, as long as you have clear line of sight, the height of the dish is completely irrelevant. If you'd had the dish for 15 years, it was in definite need of an upgrade. That being said, I can't blame you for switching. I will say that in the long run, cable companies are less bang for your buck. There's absolutely no way I'd get rid of my DirecTV. Unless the guy was new, he's crazy for not having our services. A legacy employee (someone with the company before the AT&T buyout), gets everything outside of PPV, for free. The protection plan they were trying to sell you isn't required, but it does help. This is all long winded, but I do support our systen, and while it's not perfect in any way, I do believe it's the best option when it comes to wired television

Someone's gunning for Employee of the Month.

Just kidding. No harm in having pride in where you work.

Just the word? No definition? What kind of show is this?

...I'll give it a couple more episodes.

You have to discuss the potential definition. Kate Upton’s not going to do your work for you.
