Is K2 still around? I know I can go round and round with him on the Braves vs the Mets.

Anyway, how about those Mets! Other than being unable to beat the Marlins, we're looking pretty good. Good pitching, good batting. I'm all in on the new season.

Hm. I'm a Nationals fan, so if we got K2 back all we'd need is a Marlins fan and a Philly fan and we'd have the whole set.

I have tickets to see the Mets-Nats game on the 29th. Should be great.

LET'S GO ROYALS

*CLAP CLAP CLAPCLAPCLAP*

We're back to .500, so that's nice. But our lockdown bullpen is just not what it used to be...

Harumph. Royals. I'm holding a grudge for them having a the superior team in 2015. How DARE they beat my Mets when the Royals clearly deserved it more and we pitched like crap and hit even worse.

Its OUTRAGEOUS!

2014-2015 was a very special time for this city.

Those years were joyous. Even if the Royals win another Series in my lifetime, I will never forget the unbridled, pure happiness of that astounding 2014 Playoff Run.

The 2015 win is always a bit bittersweet for me, because, yeah, we won...but an hour afterwards we got the call that my Grandmother had passed away. That was the weirdest sensation. It was also weird talking about Game 5 at her funeral. But, I think it definitely helped our state of mind, having something so amazing to look at through the grief.

Anyway.

The Mets will get their day. Between the Royals and the Cubs, baseball seems to be distributing trophies to the hard-luck cases these last few years.

Hey Gelf, how's the Mets doing now? Probably pretty well with that unbeatable pitching staff.

You know, if we're gonna get decimated by injury, Id rather it happen before the all-star break. At least we have time to figure things out, adjust the roster, etc. As long as we aren't 20 games back at the turn, we can still make a run, and hopefully get some healthy arms back in play.

And speaking of "games back", what's up with the Braves? How's that cellar feeling? ;)

Like home. We should have a kick-ass rebuild done here pretty soon though.

Saw the bad news on Familia. Don't like the guy, but that's a scary situation.
